Interhort supplies a fast range of horticultural products to the trade throughout the UK. Interhort is operated by Taylors Choice, who are a long established family owned and run business spanning 4 generations. 

In March 1964, TV’s famous gardening personality Percy Thrower, opened the Taylors Garden Advice and Supply Centre and since then the family have been committed to the highest levels of service, value and choice.

The founder, Douglas Taylor, was a leading horticultural lecturer and advisor in this area and saw a gap in the market for supplying products and advice to amateur and professional gardeners. The business expanded into landscape contracting and amongst many other contracts, became involved in the construction of a golf course on a remote Scottish Island.

In June 1948, the founders wife had a “Gold Medal” Sweet Pea named after her – Elizabeth Taylor, we wonder how many people over the years, that have grown this variety, have assumed it to be named after – the film star!

Over 30 years ago the company diversified into horticultural distribution, and we now specialise in the supply of horticultural products across the UK and Europe, offering expert and knowledgeable advice to all our customers.
